So this past summer has been my 3rd in Telluride and definitely my favorite thus far. As every year goes by I get better at having a better work/life balance when I'm out there. As I return home, I get an intense case of nostalgia of the incredible summer that I have but still feeling like I didn't get quite enough in. Nevertheless, I managed to come up with a list on some of my favorite things within this town.
Favorite Hiking Trail: The Jud Wiebe Trail. Tough but not too tough and you can see the whole beautiful town.
What to Listen to: KOTO Community Radio 91.7 and 89.3 (and the TuneIn App).
Favorite Free Activities: There's nothing like taking a solo Gondola ride by yourself up to Mountain Village and back. Also taking a stroll along San Miguel River Trail...and possibly soaking your feet.
Favorite Place to Get Coffee: The Coffee Cowboy. If it's a little too chilly outside, there is the (fairly new) Ghost Town Grocer which sits in front of a fantastic mural. If you want to be a little more isolated, then there is a coffee shop in the back of the book store called Between the Covers.
Favorite Happy Hour Specials: La Marmotte (1/2 price appetizers and $8 glasses of wine between from 5pm-6pm) and Siam's Porch Menu (a more affordable limited menu with live music)
Favorite Place to Visit Outside of Town: Big B's Fabulous Juices and Ciders In the Summer Time, it's Peach Season and they have the most fabulous juices and hard ciders.
